Are you a gym owner struggling to grow your membership base? How do you take advantage of the technology around you to grow your fitness business? Entrepreneur, coach and fitness expert Will Hurst has the tools you need to succeed and grow your business.
Like many successful entrepreneurs, Will had the entrepreneurial spirit at a young age. Coming from humble beginnings, Will was not interested in school and thought that college was not an option due to financial stress. In high school, he started selling baseball cards to make extra cash, which sparked his passion for sales and business. After high school, he moved out west and got into automotive sales, where he learned a lot about sales techniques and customer service.
While working as a car salesman, he also started selling items on Amazon and eBay, which was a very niche market at the time. After some time passed, he decided to take the skills he learned to start his own business. He lived in Phoenix and noticed a growing market for artificial grass, so that became his main selling point for the company.
Will’s landscape company grew rapidly due to his use of Google ad campaigning, which was almost unheard of at the time. The company grew to the point where he was able to buy a large warehouse space off the California coast to store his product. During this time, Will started doing CrossFit and wanted to utilize more of his warehouse space. However, the success of the landscape company began to decline as time went on, and Will wanted to do something different.
With the help of a friend who was a CrossFit instructor, Will started a CrossFit gym which quickly grew to include over 200 members. As his landscape company ended, Will decided to move back to Arizona and start another CrossFit gym. His new gym was not as successful at first, leading him to re-think his sales tactics and get back into running Google ads and researching sales funnels.
Slowly but surely, his gym grew to include over 400 members. Because of his success, other gym owners started asking him for advice, leading to the creation of Big Little Gyms. With Big Little Gyms, Will coaches fellow gym owners on ways they can grow their businesses, overcome obstacles and improve their overall techniques.
Since the company’s inception in 2016, Will has helped many gym owners reach their goals through mentorship, training and software. He continues to help his clients succeed and is working tirelessly to provide them with the right tools and resources to grow their gyms and membership base.
