Brad Milford didn’t always know what he was looking for, but he gained total clarity when he eventually found it. As the founder of Build Brilliance, LLC, Brad uses his experience to meet clients on their level and help them achieve their goals. Brad took time out of his busy schedule to talk with Gabe about his journey, how he found what he was looking for and how he helps other entrepreneurs find their version of success.

Early Years

Brad fostered entrepreneurial tendencies as a child. He collected bottles, delivered newspapers and held various other jobs before launching his own landscaping business, which he later sold. Brad didn’t yet understand it, but he was looking for something. This desire to find something he didn’t yet understand caused him to join the Navy and pursue his dream to travel. While in the Navy, Brad learned a lot and had some great experiences. He also had his fair share of frightening experiences, but when he left after serving six years, he was ready for the next chapter in his adventure.

Understanding the Drive

Most entrepreneurs are on a quest for money and power, but this is not the foundation for success. Brad is a self-proclaimed deep thinker, and this has led him to understand what ultimately motivates entrepreneurs and what pushes them forward. Many small business owners do not understand their brilliance, but when you realize what you are searching for, it is easier to reach this goal.

Finding Your Brilliance

Brad named his business Build Brilliance LLC, and through his company, he coaches entrepreneurs to success. Brilliance is a term that can mean different things to different people, but Brad has his own understanding of what brilliance means to him. “Brilliance is something we carry inside us,” explains Brad. “Some people call it purpose, but I have very specific and true beliefs about chasing purpose. I think there are a lot of people out there chasing it. I don’t think it’s something you find. It’s something that you design, create and know. I tend to help people be able to do that in their lives.”
